AN ACT TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL COUNCILS ORDINANCE
(CHAPTER 252)
BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist
Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:—
1. This Act may be cited as the Municipal Councils Short title and
(Amendment) Act, No. 34 of 2014 and shall come into date of
operation.

3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala Sinhala text to
and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail. prevail in case
of inconsistency.
