AN ACT TO AMEND THE MOTOR TRAFFIC ACT

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows : –
|

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act, No. 47 of 1983.
|
|
Amendment of section 37 of Chapter 203.
|
2. Section 37 of the Motor Traffic Act, as amended by Act No. 21 of 1981, is hereby further amended by the repeal of subsection (3) of that section and the substitution therefor of the following new subsection : –
|
” (3) Every notice under this section shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee and dispatched by registered post or delivered in person to the licensing authority, and the licensing authority shall in every case where a notice is delivered in person issue a written acknowledgment of the receipt thereof. “.
