AN ACT TO AMEND THE SRI LANKA FOUNDATION LAW, No. 31 of 1973.

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:-
|

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Sri Lanka Foundation (Amendment) Act. No. 34 of 1981.
|
|
Amendment of section 16 of Law no 31 of 1973.
|
2. Section 16 of the Sri Lanka Foundation Law is hereby amended by the addition immediately after subsection (3) of that section, of the following new subsections:”
|
“(4) The Foundation shall be exempt from the payment of any rates under the Municipal Councils Ordinance.
|
|
(5) The provisions of this section shall have effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Customs Ordinance the Stamp Ordinance, the Inland Revenue Act, No. 28 of 1979 and the Municipal Councils Ordinance.”
